Dave Pflieger Promotes Island Air’s Corporate Social Responsibility

One of the main areas of passion for Dave Pflieger from his jobs running airlines has been corporate social responsibility.  From his early experiences at Virgin America, he felt it was important for the companies he works for to be good corporate citizens.

As the CEO of Island Air, he has encouraged the airline to use their resources to help a number of strong local causes.

Island Air has served as a proud sponsor of University of Hawaii Athletics. They have also partners for the Bishop Museum which is focused on the Hawaii’s history.  Island Air also affiliates with <XTERRA, which is all about the healthy, active, outdoors lifestyle. Other organization they have supported include Best Buddies of Hawaii, Susan G. Komen of Hawaii, and Special Olympics of Hawaii.

Moving into 2015, Dave Pflieger will find other partners to work with to help Island Air remain a good corporate citizen in the local community.
